Art Deco Exhibitions Posters

An Important 1925 Paris Exposition Rare Art Deco Poster Collection

As an art deco dealer for the past 30 years I have been buying and selling posters from the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Modernes which was held in Paris in 1925 and gave “Art Deco” its name.

I have maintained strict standards, buying and selling only “A” condition posters and have sold over 100 1925 Exposition posters.

I have also been collecting the posters. Each new purchase was compared with the one in the collection; thus this collection is the “best” of the “best”. In several cases the poster is the only one I have ever seen.

1. Original 1925 Exposition Poster (Red) by Robert Bonfils. 23” x 15”.
2. Original 1925 Exposition Poster (Blue) by Robert Bonfils 23” x 15”.
3. Original 1925 Exposition Poster by Andre Girard, 23” x 15”
4. Original 1925 Exposition Poster by Charles Loupot. 23” x 15”.
5. Original 1925 Exposition Poster by Emile Antoine Bourdelle. 23” x 15”
6. Fiftieth Anniversary 1925 Exposition Poster (Bonfils) 23” x 15”
7. Bond Offering for 1925 Exposition Poster by Henry Rapin & Camile Boignard. 47” x 31”.
8. Bond for 1925 Exposition. 11” x 10”.
9. Etching given to Exhibitors and Judges at 1925 Exposition by Louis Pierre Rigal. 18” x 26”.

All the posters are professionally laid down on canvas with archival matting, presented in ebonized wood frames and glazed with UV Plexiglas.

It is improbable that, 85 years after the Exposition, such a collection could be assembled again.

The Collection will only be sold as complete. Please e-mail us if you need more photographs or additional information.
