Warren McArthur American Art Deco Ash Stand
This 1920’s American art deco ash receiver and drink stand was designed by Warren McArthur (1885 – 1961) for his own firm, The Warren McArthur Corporation. The aluminum stand features a removable drinks tray, a cigar holder, a spring loaded ash dispenser and a removable cup for disposal. The ash receiver was collect “Totemic” in a 1992 Home & Garden article on McArthur. The weight in the base is signed “Warren McArthur Corp”. It is 23 ½” high and 14” in diameter.

French Art Deco Figural Statue by Pierre LeFaguays
This French art deco illuminated metal statue was sculpted by Pierre Le Faguays (1892 – 1935) and cast by the LeVerre foundry in the 1920’s. The statue, named “Odalisque” depicts a young woman nude to the waist holding an orange craqueleure glass urn which is fitted for electricity. The maiden in green patina with brown highlights stands on a stepped “Portoro” marble base and is signed “Fayral”. LeFaguays signed many of his pieces “Fayral” or “Guerbe” (the family names of his mother and wife). The statue stands 18 ¼” high.

French Art Deco Wrought Iron Wall Display Cabinet Vitrine
This French art deco wrought iron hanging display cabinet dates from the 1930s. Four triangles, geometric flower head, swirls and circles adorn the door. The angled corners and sides have clear brass, the top and bottom frosted glass and the back is mirrored. The cabinet is 28” high x 13” wide x 8” deep.

Rockwell Kent for Chase American Art Deco Box
Rockwell Kent designed this nickel plated brass American art deco box for the Chase Brass and Copper Company in 1935. It was only offered in 1935 and 1936. As on the wine stand and wine cooler, the Greek god of wine – Bacchus carries a bunch of grapes accompanied by leaping deer. Kent added his initials “RK” on the lower right. The box measures 6 ½” x 6 ¼” and is 1 ½” high.

Hagenauer Austrian Art Deco Candle Holder
This cast bronze Austrian art deco deer with a surprised look was designed by Karl Hagenauer (1898 – 1956) for his family firm, Werkstatten Haagenauer, in the 1930’s. The deer, which measures 6 ¾” high and 5 ½” long, is marked “Made in Austria” and has the Hagenauer symbol with wHw inside a circle on the rear foot.

American Art Deco Sugar and Creamer by JEAN THEOBALD
This American art deco sugar and creamer were designed ca. 1928 by Jean Theobald for the Wilcox Silver Plate Company division of International Silver. Made of silver plated metal with ebonized wood handles and knobs. Both pieces are marked “Wilcox S.P. Co.” and the various marks of the International Silver Company. The creamer and the sugar bowl each measure 2 ¼” x 4 ¼” x 3 1/8” high.

Manning Bowman American Art Deco CONNOISSEUR Cocktail Shaker
This American art deco cocktail shaker was made in the 1930’s by the Manning Bowman Company of Meriden, Connecticut. Called The Connoisseur, the chrome shaker has vertical lines and a Bakelite top. Standing 12 ½” tall, the shaker will grace any bar.

American Art Deco Skyscraper Andirons
These American art deco machine age andirons were made ca 1939 by the Cutter Manufacturing Company of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The andirons have a black iron stepped base which extends back to hold the logs, a bright reticulated stainless steel center flanked by rectangular brushed aluminum columns. Tow thin black iron plates bisect the columns which are topped with a glass ball and two small stainless steel balls. The andirons, which are marked “Cutter Mfg. Co. Camb. Mass.”, measure 6” wide x 14” high and are 17” deep.

Sheets-Rockland Silver Company American Art Deco Sugar and Creamer
This rare American art deco silverplate sugar and creamer set was introduced in1928 by the Sheets-Rockland Silver Company from its Art Moderne line (the company mistakenly placed the accent over the “n” and there it stayed). Constructed of silverplate and translucent green Catalin, the pieces have sharply angled sides and crenellated tops. They are marked “Rockford.S.Co.” with scales in a circle, “EPNS” and “1529”. They each measure 4” high.

Walter Von Nessen American Art Deco RING Bookends
Walter Von Nessen (1889 – 1943) designed this pair of bookends for the Chase Brass & Copper Company. Known as # 17019 “Ring Bookends”, they only appeared in the 1933 Catalog. The bookends have a brass slab base and two brass ball feet. A copper ring surrounds and inner brass ring and ball. They are marked with the Centaur and “Chase”. Polished and lacquered to prevent tarnish. Each bookend measures 5” high and both are in mint condition.
