Cachou Lajaunie
This French art deco stone lithographic poster for breath mints is by Leonetto Cappiello (1875 -1942) and was printed by Devambez Paris in the 1920s, Cachou is the aromatic used to cover "smoker's breath". The product takes its name from the yellow (jaune) tin as well as the proprietor's name, Leon LaJaunie. The poster measures 59" x 39".

Les Escaldes Poster
This French art deco stone lithographic poster promotes a resort area in the Pyrenees and is sponsored by the French railroads. The orange, yellow, red and black coloration support the theme of cure by high altitude, thermal baths and "sun therapy". A very striking poster by Roger Soubie (1898-1984), printed by Baudelot, Paris. This poster measures 41" x 29".

The poster urges the viewer to think of their vacation, consult the agencies and make their plans. The artist is Marsas and the poster was printed by Watelet, Paris. Jean Rouille Poster
A starkly beautiful poster by Jean Rouille, this composition in black, orange, red and grey of a shirt and tie was meant to be imprinted with a store's name for their particular promotion or sale. Published by Edition Avenir Publicite, the framed poster measures 68" x 51 ½".

Chateau Roubaud Poster
What a happy poster! Leon Dupin created this constructivist poster using black, pink and turquoise to advertise Chateau Roubaud Vin Rose. Dupin was born ca 1900 and most of his work was done for the Joseph Charles plant between 1929 and 1936. The tuxedoed gentleman holds high his glass while compatriots cavort around a giant bottle. Printed by Joseph-Charles, Paris, this stone lithographic poster is dated 1931 and measures 55" x 40". It is presented in a black lacquer frame.

Ballets Basques Poster
E. Julia Luzuria has created a wonderful art deco poster for the Ballets Basques de Biarritz, full of movement and elegant in it's simplicity using orange, green and black on a cream background. Printed by the Union Francaise d' Impression Bordeaux, and in a black lacquer frame, the poster measures 24 ¾ x 17" framed.

Vodka Relsky
A rare image by Leonetto Capiello (1875 - 1942), French, for Relsky Vodka. The Russian in his beaver hat and red hair and beard emerge from a blue-black background. Vodka in orange and Relsky's 1º Kumel in yellow complete the composition and make for one of the most arresting posters of the period. The poster measures 63" x 46 1/2" and is in excellent condition with crisp bright colors.

Turin Sport
Preceeding Gatorade and Powerade this poster for Turin-Sport Vermouth wine portrays a happy sportsman holding a bottle of the product and a glass from which spring race cars, aeroplanes and all manner of athletes. The poster is by Mich (Michael Liebneaux 1881 - 1923) French and was produced by Publicite Wall of Paris. It measures 62" x 45 1/2".
