Paul Frankl (1886 – 1958) designed this sleek American art deco coffee table for the Johnson Furniture Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan and retailed by John Stuart, Inc. of New York and Grand Rapids and still retains the John Stuart tag.  Introduced in their 1949 Catalog, the table, with natural cork veneer and open square mahogany legs can also function as a bench.  The table measures 70” long, 21” wide and is 13 ¾” high.
